Zhujiajiao is Located at suburb of Shanghai city, is an ancient water town. With a history of more than 1700 years it covers an area of 47 square kilometers today. Zhujiajiao is one of the best-preserved four ancient towns in Shanghai. It is famous for its picturesque scenery and tranquil environment. It is also called Shanghai’s Venice. There are many different shaped bridges made of wood or stones which were built in the Ming or Qing Dynasties. In the town, there is an ancient street lined with representative ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is worth wandering through to see the traditional life style of the local people. The town also has a very elegant garden with beautiful buildings and court yards.
